USDA Crop Progress - US Corn Harvest at 5%, Slightly Ahead of Average

OMAHA (DTN) -- In its first corn harvest report of the season, USDA's National Ag Statistics Service estimated that 5% of the U.S. crop was harvested as of Sunday, Sept. 9, slightly ahead of the five-year average, according to the agency's weekly Crop Progress report released Tuesday. The report is normally released on Mondays but was delayed this week due to technical issues.
