Help Alleviate Stress and Encourage a Healthy Herd with Excell™ and Excell Pro™ All-Natural

Excell™ helps promote digestive health by developing a healthy microbial population.

  •  Helps encourage a robust appetite to GET on feed and STAY on feed.

  •  Helps aid in recovery after scours or other lower gut ailments.

  •  Helps promote overall health for superior performance.

Excell™, is an all-natural a lactobacillus fermentation product from Pacer Technology.

Research done at the University of Georgia showed that Excell™ improved feed efficiency and rate of gain on young animals when being fed in the creep. Sixty 400# Angus steers were fed 1 of 3 diets: control, creep only, and creep plus Excell™ fed at the recommended rate for cattle for 63 days. Steers on the creep plus Excell™ treatment gained 4 lbs. MORE weight on .78 lbs LESS feed. More weight on less feed results in a positive ROI for producers.

Feed efficiency on Excell™ improved by 11.2 % requiring 0.78 lb. less feed for additional 4 lbs. of gain

Excell™ produced 16.2% more total volatile fatty acid (VFA)which produced more gain.

Excell™ produced more propionate reducing the acetate to propionate ratio from 5.1 to 4.75 which is an indicator of higher energy availability for growth.

Excell™ has shown improved growth and performance in livestock. Previous studies on rumen volatile fatty acid (VFA) production indicates Excell™ increases total VFA levels and increased energy utilization producing improved growth and weight gain in growing cattle.

The objective of this study was to measure the impact on rumen function and performance of pre-weaned calves offered a creep feed with Excell™ at five grams per head per day compared to creep alone.

Results of Excell™ Inclusion in the Creep:

Excell™ in the creep gained 2.86 lbs. per day compared to 2.78 for calves fed only creep.

Feed efficiency (G:F) on Excell™ calves was 11.2 % better requiring 0.78 lb. less feed for gain.

Butyrate production was 12% higher with Excell™ which promotes rumen development and health.
